AND SO, THE GODDESS CREATES (herself) . . . painting her presence with watery pastel hues; a silvery blue of a winter morning or the angry slate of storm clouds that hover upon the horizon. So, silently Winter blankets the dormant landscape, hinting of how the season will change once again—and the world awaken to its fruitful beauty and green lushness. So, too, have human hearts become alerted to awakening to the what is changing all around us. Both the subtle senses that happen in the back of an inkling or thought, as well as the obvious turmoil, all part of the Cosmic changes that can present as emerging explosions on every level and in which we may knowingly or unknowingly exist. As I look out my window, there is a feeling of anticipation and inner sensing of something about to happen. Only somewhat wariness toward its unknown qualities or how the shifting energy will present itself to the world and humankind. Surely, it comes from a literal onslaught of this SUPER SIZED BLUE MOON in LUNAR ECLIPSE for such combined energy can only bring amazing differences to everything it touches, like icy fingers stretching from the Moon God, Khonsu, and laying upon his children who dare to stand beneath and watch the neter in transition—will you feel that icy touch of fingers, that you think are something to fear or the kindly laying on of the inspiration from the dark goddess, the shadow side of Isis, the lady of the occult (hidden) and seeder of new ideas – Nepthys. The official height of its fullness is in two days. I hope to rely on my silly dogs who often wake me about 3 am with their barking on a nightly mouse hunting excursion through the house; if they will be so kind, I may catch a glimpse of the moon at its largest and fullest seemingly just outside my bedroom window. Otherwise, I may have to check postings on Facebook to get a look.
I look forward, however, to Spring and the expelling of dreary Winter. This year (2018) already “feels” different; in numerology, the year is an 11 and a Gateway . . . but one leading to what or taking us where, I can only speculate. The energy already feels like it is preparing or being readied, but I can only hope it will become something even more explosive than randomly chaotic than the old energy, which has been working at clearing away what has become obsolete in every area and making space for something new and likely better. On the other hand, will it find everyone turning inward, focused only on energy of an sort that brings implosion, accordingly. I suppose only Time will tell.
All I do know is that I’m filling with anticipation of the eagerly expectant sort, but with a slightly unsettling undertone of the kind a Gemini (like me) hates . . . the unknowable. Thus we will come under the effects and hopefully protection of the Goddess of Cosmic Balance – Ma’at, symbolized with widely spread, multicolored wings and an Ostrich plume of Truth upon her crown. This goddess is responsible for keeping a balance between the light and dark energies (i.e., the atoms that make-up everything). Like a nervous juggler, she must keep the oft-tenuous balance of ever-moving positive and negative ions, worried that if they are dropped, surely a collision or collapse of energy may cause unproductive chaos.
Still, humankind clings to faith in a creator god/spirit being as befitting the heart of the seeker. Such is the reminder of the continuation of time, particularly the seasons that create and destroy, in turn. There is comfort in this process. It has regularly occurred from the first ray of sunlight bathed the third rock from the sun, which we named Earth or Gaia. The Ancient Egyptians knew the moment of creation by a variety of stories, but my favorite is that of the self-created neter, Ptah-Atum, who arrived to stand upon the mound of earth that arose from the water covered planet, the Waters of NUN, on the first day or First Time called Zep Tepi then with his breath and sperm created all of life. Like that original beginning of time, each New Year can be approached (whether it is marked as beginning on January 1, October 31 or another date of a different culture) as if there is nothing ahead but possibilities and probabilities that lie ahead. Of course, we designed a ritual of creating intimate plans we know as New Year’s Resolutions, but while they represent hope, good intentions and setting positive goals—they are famous for fizzling within days or weeks of their inception when we decide they are too bothersome to keep or just loose interest in the original idea. Nevertheless, January is a month that should mean hopeful and positive intentions; such as that energy that I call the promise of the Goddess.
Whenever or however we seek Divinity or seek a pantheon or collective such as the Egyptian Neteru, one can create a personal relationship when this system, which melds well with the heart and mind—often something difficult to explain. And so, TIME moves forward from New Year’s Eve celebration (if you adhere to the idea of its linear progression), leaving it in the hands of Ma’at to keep everything moving along, like a well-greased wheel-of-the-Year, with or without human influence or interference. Personally, I more eagerly await the final thaw when ice and snow melts in the wake of warming sunshine, which allows me to tiptoe through tulips or race in wild abandon across grassy fields. (Okay, hold it . . . admittedly, that was just for poetic effect; I cannot do either nowadays; instead it’s a slow walk and a much shorter distance) Still it means leaves, green grace, flowers blooming, birds singing, butterflies flitting, bees buzzing and all kinds of new wild babies hidden everywhere their moms find a safe place in all that greenery. This is the realm of “Mother Nature” or just NATURE, which is a word derived from the ancient Egyptian word for their gods/goddesses – NETERU (neter, sing.).
That brings us back to the visual image that started this musing and archetypal being we know as a goddess (or if you prefer a masculine imagery--a god). Although, she may have different names depending on the symbolism or culture from which her image is drawn, that label varies with the heart, soul or sensibility of the one who wishes to commune with such a being on any level. In keeping with the idea of a beginning new year and the intensity of the current Triple Aspect Moon; if I may compare that with the Tripe Goddess Energy as it represents the phases of life: Maiden, Mother and Crone and therefore our Maiden Goddess is appropriate to the beginning of a new lifespan. My intention is to inspire ideas, knowledge or conceptual things that you may be seeking for this year; yes, that includes things that are still merely taking roles in your daydreaming and have yet to escape dream and take form. Regardless of the goddess by name you choose, let her inspire, encourage and set examples as you seek answers to problems, assistance with new idea or just healing of aged wounds from the past that refuse to just go away (I do not include mourning for lost loved ones in that last remark). The GODDESS in image or merely aspect of archetypal energy can appeal to anyone in significant ways—an aide for a single incident or as a lifelong companion, guide and teacher from the stars or Divine realms.
In the part of the country where I live, this year has been a wild ride of bitter weather with the crisp winter air aiding in the clearing of or clogging of sinuses, which represents stresses and mental fogginess. The energy has been dragging and I’ve found simple activities require a lot more effort to even decide on doing then often become a victim of procrastination, anyway. The frustration level is way high, so I am eager to experience the shift of energy; even musing that it cannot be worse than what’s been bogging my progress on editing or writing to a near standstill. I never made resolutions this year and blame the sense of “BLAH” seemingly haunting my world since November. Sorry, I didn’t intend to whine . . . but, I did a little. And, yes, I have reconnected the psychic phone lines to my goddesses, apologized for the delay and ritually renewed and repaired that energetic connection, dismissing old emotional wounds and removing things that need to be left behind, just in time for the new energy to find an open heart and willingness of mind.
Indeed, make resolutions or not, but do set the best intentions for accepting the new year and the energy that will be fully available in the next few days. Call it goddess or feminine energy – no matter which – but allow the assistance in any creative process that lies ahead for you. Do remember that feminine energy deals in extremes, especially in the creative or birthing of something new process. While she can birth and nurture a project to maturity or fruition, that usually happens at a cost. In the extreme, that is the destruction of the old and obsolete and often painful processing of the new quest—in other words, the goddess takes no prisoners nor has she any patience or mercy of what is unproductive. On the contrary, the masculine or god energy is also a creator, but his is the gentler manner, providing the essence of what the goddess is likely to tear asunder in the process of giving it birth; seldom will the god destroy without reason for he is driven by the desire for protection, the warrior and supreme controller and ruler.
I said all that, because I wonder if this is the time of the goddess . . . for she can have no mercy in kicking asunder all that has become disruptive, chaotic and dangerous energy for she is the mother who will protect her children above all else and I think we need her protective nature to be at our side in the birthing of a more peaceful, productive and balanced world. I shall visualize (and invite the reader to do the same) as the Goddess swallows the OLD moon and gives birth to a new moon, filled to the brim with productive energy to heal a troubled world and give peace, healing and comfort to every heart of its inhabitants—world-wide. I ask that she appropriately become the aide/guide in setting your personal plans and needs for 2018 and beyond and takes the roll of gatekeeper for this new Lunar Gateway . . . that goes to somewhere, everywhere and nowhere, at once.
Possibly, as you read this, there will occur a suddenness of waking to the awareness of subtle changes sure to appear as the Great Super Blue Moon reveals the doorway . . . Yes, you read that correctly. I said the moon will become as a doorway (gateway) and the key is the human heart where desire arises in many forms. As the bloody veil slips aside like the placenta during a birth, the opening shall be revealed to all. Most will “see” nothing but an eclipsing moon and be amazed at that; the subconscious mind will see the doorway in the manner that is proper for the individual—in that case, there may be no conscious awareness that anything extraordinary occurred. To a clairvoyant or psychic or intuitive, the inner vision may present quite a dramatic effect or detailed hologram image or something else; I can only guess the result and am anxious to experience the even if nothing more is “seen”. As the ecliptic phase dissipates its ruddiness, the moon shall return to its pale, somber beauty while dominating the blue-black night sky with a gleaming silver power that is expected of the very rare, Super FULL Moon. As we experience the new energy that results, I expect much of it to be a personal learning event and we will all need to heed the heart voice to comprehend what the moon has told us when its soul revealed blood-red and bared. I think it is important that this observance is left only to the inner senses and heart and we are cautious of the over-analyzing intellectual mind and what it believes it has observed; for it can believe what is seen or imagine what it wants to see; even taking the skeptical to the nth degree of boredom or despair, basing such an amazingly rare celestial event upon logic rather than heart-felt trust—that is what I think will be the key to unlock a personal experience on January 31st. The results should be stunning if only a visual experience, but extraordinarily enigmatic if – as the Emerald Tablets would say – as the ABOVE is experienced; so the BELOW is beheld. I believe this will ultimately bring a major shift of energy, which will present many surprises across the dimensions of time and space and levels of heaven and earth, equally. I wish I could elaborate further, but I hope something of what I’ve said here can give direction to the preparation for this amazing new year’s journey; whether you chose to seek the goddess or keep things status quo. If you are anxious and need to understand how this will affect you personally, I suggest you consult a trusted, adept Astrologer.
And so, I shall leave you with a super moon and goddesses taunting your imagination and imprinting your mind’s eye with its imagery. I leave with the GODDESS . . . for it is SHE who paints herself in water colors of every hue on a canvas that is the human mind and heart. The Goddess by her many names, aspects and images is within reach at any moment, day or night, or situation of the human heart. SHE is inspiration in its purest, most honorable form; She is a shape-shifting entity who appears in whatever guise is most needed in each moment of life by day or night; SHE is the one dancing gaily beside us beneath sunny skies; SHE bears the burdens when skies turn steely and clouds demonstrate turmoil within the heart; SHE lays mourning alongside a broken heart if a loved one, pet or something is lost into death’s grip; SHE gently caresses, healing old scars with the passing of time; SHE whispers encouragement as a foot embarks upon a new venture; SHE shows the way as one treks into foreign realms or locals; SHE screams to herald danger then holds the hand from whatever frightens in the darkest night; and SHE salves a soul when experiences shatter dreams or it undergoes initiation, becoming adept at evolving spiritually along its current lifetime.
AND SO, THE GODDESS CREATES (herself and shows us the way of creation) . . . painting jointly with watery pastels. Hues that make real the silvery blue of a winter morning or the deepest roiling murky green of waters or steely slate storm clouds hovering low overhead. We are her human canvases, designed with all possibilities and streaked colors of probabilities. We are her beloved children that she teaches the importance of loving unconditionally, as well as forgiving the unforgivable. We learn from her to allow imagination to soar on the wings of stars, fearing not changes or shying from life’s pitfalls for they are the greatest lessons she offers us. Her wings shield us from harm, cradle us when sick and hurting and teach us to grow our own multi-colored rainbow feathers and fly to the heights out soul desires. She is but part of the Neteru/Nature/God/Goddess archetypal energies that we may cherish as life-long guides, companions and Divine Teachers.
