Once again, Brenda Silverhand has written an amazing essay on "SURRENDER", a word that anyone who has entered the arena of Metaphysics will have encountered. I was so taken by her description of the concept that I asked permission to share it with my readership . . . so. please enjoy the words and then take the concept into your heart and mind, applying it as it best fits your life and allow it to spark inspiration for your highest good as it best applies to your personal evolution, as well. Blessings!

One of the best definitions of "surrender" I've ever read is as pure and simple as this: to give up personal control for personal peace. We have often mistaken surrender as an act of weakness or a state of being where we succumb to the inevitable when there is no other option available. In actuality, it may be the bravest and most lucid act a human ever does. The moment we embrace our peace within and surrender the outcome, is the moment we allow the Universe to make things happen for us. It may not be exactly what we had in mind, but in essence, it is far greater than our own, self-created, limited plans. When we ask for the best and highest good, whatever that entails, and we fearlessly let go of all that holds us back, we allow the power of love and trust to flow through and for us. We are given exactly what we need when we need it. Someone once described personal surrender as, "I no longer force things. What flows, flows. What crashes, crashes. I only have space and energy for the things that are meant for me." When we block fear and the need to control, we invite love and beauty into our lives. It is an amazing lesson available for all of us...and oh, my friends, there is such indescribable peace and power in that!
